Why is it looking so primitive?

I try to avoid unnecessary complexity. Wordpress looks nice but the overhead of complexity and reliance on external sources is not worth it for me. This page also conserves resources by being lightweight and fast.

Why so few papers? Have you not read x or y, which is much better?

This is not supposed to be an exhaustive literature review on any topic. It's a first attempt to make a concise exposé of a certain way of thinking about complex systems such as societies.

But that person said we can still make it, if we only do X

I am well aware of the mainstream discourse. This is an attempt to contribute to shifting that discourse.

How am I supposed to read the materials behind a paywall? What about copyrights?

I am not a fan. I am in the lucky position to have had legal access to all the materials I reference. I think it's in the interest of the public, as well as the authors, that these papers get a wide reception and barriers of access should therefore be removed.

That being said, you should NOT circumvent any copyrights by downloading material that you do not have legal access to, either from this site or any other. Also, under NO circumstances should you copy the DOI, ISBN or URL of a particular reference and paste it into a service such as sci hub, for papers or libgen, for books. That would be illegal. You can send me an email, I might be able to lend you my copy.
